This week there are three good releases for Marathi films. Tapaal , Rakhandar and Baavre Prem He. The films that are totally distinct in their subject and story have provided a variety of choice for the audiences. As recorded, the collection of the film Tapaal was much higher than the other two on the opening day. The film, that has won many awards and has been appreciated highly, increased much curiosity among the audience. There was a good number of audience turning up for the film that had no big star attraction. Tapaal pulled the audience on its sheer strength of its story and subject. Set in rural Maharashtra of the 1970s the film has a captivating subject of a postman and his young friend and how the two bond with each other. The film registered a good collection on its first day of release which is higher than that of the other two. Its viewership was high in the small and big cities. Pune and Mumbai recorded a huge turnout for the move.

Baavre Prem He received lukewarm response . It had two young stars Urmila Kanetkar and Siddharth playing the lead roles. The film’s music was also much talked about. It’s an out and out love story as the title and the posters suggested . As expected the film received good response from the young audience. College students and young couple turned up for the film which collected ******* on its first day. The film got a good competitor in Tapaal which hogged the limelight this week.

Rakhandar , on the other hand, was badly promoted and the film was hardly known to be releasing this week . Its collection was lowest on Friday . The film received adverse reviews from audiences and critics.
