The M Town has only one film to release called Khari Biscuit. It was Sanjivani Jhadav directed film having talented stars like Sanjay Narvekar, Sushant Shelar, Vedhashree Khadikar, Adarsh Kadam and Nandita in the lead and supporting roles. The movie managed to get a decent ratings by most of the critics. All thanks to the powerful storyline that turned out things backed by decent performances at the silver screen including the kids who played siblings facing the camera for the first time.
As per reports, the film had a low occupancy since morning and it continued till afternoon. However, it escalated to a minimal extent. Considering the fact that most of the parts of state has witnessed the rains, it was difficult for the makers to see a surge in occupancy and so the collection of the film in a big way. Thus with low occupancy inside the cinema the collection also seemed hampered.
As per reports, the 1st day box office collection for Khari Biscuit went to around 30 lakhs, which is okay for a film that has low star value along with having minimal promotions in the media. However, the experts feel that the film is likely to do well on the first weekend considering some amount of word of mouth buzz in the media. Since it is a solo film released this Friday, it can attract the audience this weekend getting around 40 to 50 lakhs on the second day, while on the Sunday, one may expect the collection soaring reaching to 1 Crores.
