The acclaimed Marathi mythological drama Dashavatar is set to premiere exclusively on ZEE5 on November 14. Directed by Subodh Khanolkar and produced by Ocean Film Company and Ocean Art House, the film features a stellar cast including Dilip Prabhavalkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Bharat Jadhav, Abhinay Berde, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Ravi Kale, and Vijay Kenkre. Since its theatrical release, Dashavatar has been a massive blockbuster.Dashavatar offers a fresh retelling of the story of Lord Vishnu’s ten avatars, symbolizing the eternal battle between good and evil. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Maharashtra’s Konkan region, the narrative centers on Babuli Mestri (played by Prabhavalkar), a seasoned Dashavtari performer.
Despite his failing eyesight, Babuli remains devoted to his art. During one final Mahashivratri performance, he seemingly transforms into the Rudra avatar, setting off a profound emotional and spiritual journey.V.R.
