‘Gypsy’ Film Receives Houseful Response at Special Screening

The special screening of the film ‘Gypsy’, a heartfelt and inspiring story about the life of the underprivileged and the transformative power of self-awareness, received a houseful response from the audience. The event was organized on Sunday afternoon by the Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation’s Dadasaheb Phalke Film Appreciation Forum at the Pu. La. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy.
The film, directed by Shashi Khandare, was showcased to an enthusiastic crowd. Present at the event were the corporation’s Deputy Managing Director Prashant Sajanikar, director Shashi Khandare, national award-winning child artist Kabir Khandare, along with the entire team of the film.
After the screening, Mr. Sajanikar conducted an interview with the film’s actors, revealing amusing anecdotes from the film’s production journey and the path leading up to the national award. The Dadasaheb Phalke Film Appreciation Forum was established under the guidance of the corporation’s Managing Director, Swati Mhase Patil.
The forum aims to revive the glory of classic films for audiences and to bring the finest films created by the new generation to viewers. As part of this initiative, at least one film is screened for audiences every month.
