Starting January 1, 2026, this Marathi school-themed film will hit theaters. Produced by Kshiti Jog’s Chitramandali, Kranti Jyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium has co-producers Viraj Gavas, Urfi Kazmi (Crazy Few Films), and Ajinkya Dhamal, who previously collaborated on the films Zhimma and Zhimma 2.In light of the declining number of Marathi schools, decreasing enrollment, and the waning interest in education in one’s mother tongue, the announcement of Kranti Jyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium, written and directed by Hemant Dhome, comes at a crucial time.

The film highlights the struggle for the existence of Marathi schools, and its captivating teaser has just been released to the audience. Hemant Dhome’s themes often resonate with everyday life, making them relatable to viewers. This film promises to evoke memories of school days and all the associated experiences. Director Hemant Dhome aims to take the audience on a nostalgic journey through their school life. The film features a strong cast of Marathi actors, including Sachin Khedekar as the principal, along with Amey Wagh, Siddharth Chandekar, Kshiti Jog, Kadambari Kadam, Harish Dudhade, Pushkar Chirputkar, and for the first time in a lead role in a Marathi film, Prajakta Koli.
