Adipurush First Weekend Box office collection

The fourth day of Om Raut’s directorial venture, “Adipurush,” witnessed a significant decline in box office collections. Early trends suggest a drop of approximately 70 to 75 percent, with Monday’s earnings estimated to be in the range of Rs 9.00 to 10.00 crore. This represents a 73% decrease from the opening day’s figures of around Rs 35 crore. The decline in collections was anticipated due to backlash regarding the film’s content in multiplexes, as well as in core Hindi-speaking regions.

In terms of national chains, “Adipurush” is expected to collect around Rs 4.50 crore on Monday, compared to the Rs 15.45 crore it earned on Friday in theaters such as PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. This indicates a noticeable drop in both national and non-national chains. The film managed to sustain decent levels of performance over the weekend, thanks to strong advance bookings and bulk reservations made by schools, universities, and institutions. However, word of mouth is now influencing the film’s performance, leading to a significant decline in collections.

The downward trend is evident across various regions, including mass belts, indicating a universal decline in audience turnout. As the curiosity factor and overflow from the weekend diminish, steeper drops in the coming days are expected. Although the four-day total collection of approximately Rs 113 crore is not a poor result, the concerning aspect lies in the unfavorable trend that the film is currently experiencing.

Looking ahead, the target for the opening week of this epic saga, “Adipurush,” is projected to be around Rs 130 to Rs 140 crore. However, the film’s performance in the coming days will determine whether it can achieve this goal. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for further updates on the box office performance of “Adipurush.”

Note: The figures mentioned are estimates as of 10 pm.
