Famous for her breakthrough role in Sairat, actress Rinku Rajguru is venturing into a new artistic space. For the first time in her career, she will be featuring in an album song titled ‘Baap Vithuraya’, just in time for the annual Pandharpur Wari pilgrimage.
The announcement puts an end to intense social media speculation after photos of Rinku participating in the Wari recently went viral. Released by Saregama Marathi, the devotional track features the powerful vocals of acclaimed playback singer Ajay Gogawale, marking a highly anticipated reunion for the duo years after their iconic collaboration.
A Deeply Personal Project for Rinku
Expressing her excitement about the debut, Rinku shared that the project holds immense personal and spiritual significance for her:
“I am very happy that my first album song is picturized on Vitthal. My relationship with Vitthal goes back a long time; I have immense love and faith in Him. He is with me in everything I do, and I chat with Him a lot. Lord Vitthal is a very sensitive part of my life, so while doing this song, I felt like it was destined to happen.”
She further added, “I have never done a music video before because my way of working is a little different. The fact that this song is sung by Ajay Gogawale—allowing me to work with him again after many years—makes it even more special. Since this is my debut album, it is very close to my heart.”
A Brand-New Avatar
The newly released song features Rinku in a never-before-seen look that captures the raw, devotional spirit of the Wari pilgrimage. The music video has already struck a chord online, with fans showering the teaser and official posts with likes and enthusiastic comments.
‘Baap Vithuraya’ is expected to become a staple anthem for pilgrims and devotees as the monsoon Wari season kicks into full swing.
