Happy Journey marathi movie had aroused lots of excitement among the audience before release. And the response of the audience was positive for the Atul Kulkarni and Priya Bapat starer film. With the presence of stars such as Priya Bapat , Atul Kulkarni and Pallavi Subhash , the film received a good turn out from the young audiences in big cities such as Mumbai and Pune. Even in the small cities like Amravati and Nasik, the film did much better than its competitor Swami Public Ltd. The latter had only one big star in it namely Subhodh Bhave. The award winning actor had the backing of veteran actors of Marathi such as Vikram Gokhale and Vinay Apte. It is a suspense based on the duplicity of economy and religion. The movie though well crafted, scored averagely at the box office. Whereas Happy Journey which is a love story plus an adventure story succeeded in pulling a good crowd.
Happy Journey , on its first day of release, collected an average of 50 Lakhs . while the other film Swami Public Ltd ended up with a total collection of 30 Lakhs on its first day of release. Happy Journey is expected to catch up with the audience in days to come and its collection on the weekends is expected to rise up by 40 %. By the end of the weekend, the movie collected a sum of 2 cr. On the other hand, Swami Pubic Ltd box office had to be content with a collection of 1 cr.
