This talented actress and director and choreographer of Marathi theater and cinema is coming up with her directorial venture A Dot Com Mom. Atypical as the title sounds, the movie captures the beauty of the relationship between a mother and her son. As the son moves to the USA for work, the typical Indian mother (played by Meena Nerurkar ) visits USA for few months. A Dot Com Mom is about the sacrifices a mother makes for her son and how the relationship transforms as the son and wife adapt to a modern lifestyle in the USA.
Slated for release this week, A Dot Com Mom may just turn out to be the magnum opus of Meena Nerurkar who has produced, Directed and acted in the movie. She plays the character of Sulba Chafekar, the mother. Vikram Gokhlae , another thespian and veteran actor plays a lead character in the film. Sudhir Phadke, Ashok Patki – Neel Nadkarni, Pratik Shah have rendered soulful music to the film. It is the brain child of Dr. Meena Nerurkar who has written the screenplay, dialogues and story and also directed acted in the film.
