Box Office Juggernaut: Made on a Slim Budget of ₹9.80 Crore, ‘Deool Band 2’ Grosses ₹64.95 Crore in Just 15 Days

Director-actor Pravin Tarde’s highly anticipated spiritual sequel, Deool Band 2, has emerged as an absolute box office phenomenon. Backed by a powerful storyline, deep spiritual themes, and overwhelming word-of-mouth, the film achieved blockbuster status within two weeks of its 2026 theatrical release. According to box office analyst Jerin Georgekutty, the film has amassed a remarkable ₹64.95 crore gross at the domestic box office in just 15 days, which is considered an extraordinary feat for regional Marathi cinema.
The film’s financial success is especially impressive when looking at its incredibly low production budget of just ₹9.80 crore. It had a strong start from day one, bringing in a net opening of ₹2.45 crore on its first Friday. The momentum grew quickly over its opening weekend, pulling in a net business of ₹18.50 crore, before ultimately climbing to its historic 15-day total domestic gross of ₹64.95 crore.
While the spiritual drama predictably triggered a massive wave across its home state of Maharashtra, which served as the primary driver of business by accounting for a staggering ₹63.08 crore, it also found a solid footprint in neighboring regions. Goa emerged as the top-performing territory outside of Maharashtra by bringing in ₹87 lakh. Meanwhile, the film maintained steady traction in Karnataka with a collection of ₹60 lakh, contributed a solid ₹37 lakh in Gujarat, and brought in an additional ₹3 lakh from other regions.
Serving as the official sequel to the 2013 superhit Deool Band, this latest installment stars veteran actor Mohan Joshi alongside Snehal Tarde and Pravin Tarde in lead roles. The narrative seamlessly blends the teachings and grace of Shri Swami Samarth with an engaging, light-hearted cinematic style that has deeply resonated with modern audiences. Commenting on the historic run, Yusuf Shaikh, the Founder of Janata Cinema, stated that the film has done a tremendous job and that earning around ₹50 crore in net business in just two weeks is a very proud moment for the entire Marathi film industry.
