Tejaswini Pandit is not one of the glam dolls in the Marathi film industry. Nor did she choose glamour roles for herself. But she is reckoned as a talented actress in the Marathi film industry for her sheer talent. Tejaswini Pandit has portrayed many difficult roles in her career that is almost one decade long. Many of them are the kind of potential roles that any actress would dream to play. No wonder she has even international awards to boast of.

She made a modest debut in the 2004 released comedy Aga Bai Arrecha ! Though it was a small role, she played her part well and gave an impactful performance. Thereafter there has been no stopping for the actress. Her biggest success came in the form of 2010 released Mee Sindhutai Sapkal. The film was directed by actor writer, Ananth Mahadevan and it starred Tejaswini in the lead role. The film was based on a real life story of a woman who turns a social worker after facing various traumas in her early life. Fighting all odds she emerges as a staunch optimist who stands up for the cause of the poor. Interestingly, the role of the older Sindhutai , in the film, was played by Tejaswini’s own mother Jyoti Chandekar who is also an actress in Marathi films. The film gave Tejaswini a role that today the audience identify her with. The film received the special jury award in the national award of the year 2010. As the lead actress, she received the best actress award in Spain International film festival award, Zee Gaurav awards, MIFTA awards. Apart from these she got many regional honors for the same film. 2009 released Vavtal also brought awards for the critically acclaimed actress.
with looks that impart simplicity to her personality , Tejaswini essays her roles with an extraordinary panache that makes her work impactful. Hailing from a family where she got optimum support to pause theatre and films, she has done full justice to her roles with her spontaneity and graceful screen presence.
The 28 year actress married businessman Bhushan Bapche and is currently settled in Pune. Apart from films, she has been successful also in television serials. For her contribution in the television industry she has received many awards.
In 2011, Tejaswini has been honored with Swami Vivekanand award for valuable contribution in the Marathi films. Currently she is actively present in Marathi theatre and Marathi films as also in television serials.
