You do not need to add the glamour element in order to make any film a big hit. There are many such examples in M Town and the recently released movie called Baban happens to be the one, which is presented by The Folk Confluence under the banner called ‘Chitraksh Films’. The movie is directed by Bhaurao Karhade and the film ‘Baban’ is all set to release all over the state last week’s Friday. The film managed to get positive reviews by a majority of the critics that has helped the film to do well over the box office.
The film is based on the rural background while the protagonist of this movie simply faces a number of obstacles but the self belief and aspirations that keeps him going. The audiences that are related to themselves with the protagonist and hence they are falling in love with the M Town movie in a big way. The talented actor Bhausaheb Shinde was seen playing the character of ‘Baban’ in the said movie which has simply garnered lots of praise from the audiences.
After catching up the response of the audiences in the theatres that is seen in the first weekend all across the state, the shows of ‘Baban’ seemed to have worked well getting a screen of around 400 to 500. However, outside the city of Mumbai the M Town film has gone too houseful at a number of theatres along with the total collections of film ‘Baban’ reaching to a modest but a good figure. The first weekend collection for Baban reached to around 3.25 Cr Rupees.
