The official poster for the upcoming film Mission Mumbai has just been released. Starring Ajoy Sharma in the lead role, the film portrays the thrilling reality and aftermath of the Mumbai serial blasts.
A brand-new film is set to meet the audience, attempting to present the gripping truth following those dark days that shook the city of Mumbai. The recently unveiled poster has heightened curiosity about the movie. It vividly depicts the life-threatening mission undertaken by the police to track down the RDX and the struggle behind it. The poster showcases an actor in the role of a dutiful police officer with an aggressive look, bearing witness to the film’s action and gravity.
Mission Mumbai will unravel the mystery: during the serial blasts in Mumbai, 100 kg out of 300 kg of RDX was used—but where did the remaining 200 kg go? While inspired by true events, this is a fictionalized film. Produced by Revikanta Films and presented by Aakat Distribution, the official poster of the highly anticipated Marathi film Mission Mumbai was released on social media. This thriller, inspired by the background of the Mumbai blasts and the horrific RDX search mission of that time, will hit theaters on May 15, 2026.
Actor Ajoy Sharma will be seen in a significant role. It will be interesting to see him on the big screen portraying a Police Inspector. The production of Mission Mumbai has been handled by producer Mrs. Kanta Sharma, while Chandrakant Vispute and Kailash Pawar have directed the film.
Presented by Aakat Distribution, the writing responsibilities were managed by Chandrakant Vispute. The music is composed by Sameer Khole, Mandar Keer, Ravindra Kharat, and Vicky Wagh. The songs have been voiced by singers Sudesh Bhosle, Harshvardhan Wavre, Kasturi Sairam, Vicky Wagh, and Disha Sutar. Lyrics were penned by Krupesh, Vicky, Rajiv, and Bipin, while Babasaheb Patil served as the executive producer.
Speaking about the film, Director Chandrakant Vispute said: “That period in Mumbai’s history still resides in everyone’s hearts. Inspired by true events, we are using Mission Mumbai to fictionally portray the bravery and contribution of the police force during that search mission on the big screen.”
