The film touches upon Marathi identity, the issue of farmer suicides, the place of Maharashtrians in Mumbai, and the dominance of outsiders, with Maharaj’s commentary and actions woven throughout.More than just a tribute to a historic figure, the film engages with contemporary Maharashtra and its unresolved questions. It aims to narrate history while questioning the present, awakening awareness, and showing direction.

Powerful Teamwork Behind the Film

Siddharth Bodke plays the lead role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Vikram Gaikwad, Shashank Shende, Mangesh Desai, Prithvik Pratap, Rohit Mane, and Nityashri. National award-winning child actors Trisha Thosar and Bhargav Jagtap also play important roles.The story and screenplay are by Mahesh Manjrekar, with dialogues penned by Siddharth Salvi.
