Fire Breaks Out on Anupamaa Set at Mumbai’s Film City

Early Monday morning, a fire broke out on the set of the popular television show Anupamaa at Film City, Goregaon East, Mumbai. The blaze originated in a tent located behind the Marathi Bigg Boss set, quickly drawing attention and prompting an immediate response from emergency services.The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) acted swiftly, dispatching multiple firefighting units to the scene. The fire started around 6:00 AM and was classified as a Level-I incident, which is the lowest on the severity scale.
Thanks to the quick and coordinated efforts of the fire brigade, the blaze was brought under control by 10:15 AM the same day. Authorities confirmed that fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.A fire official provided more details, stating, “The fire was reported early Monday morning, and by 6:26 AM, it was officially declared a Level-I incident. Emergency services quickly deployed four fire engines and four jumbo tankers to extinguish the blaze.”

Their rapid response ensured the fire did not escalate, minimizing damage to the property.In an official statement, the authorities confirmed that the fire affected various materials and equipment on the set, including electric wiring, electrical installations, plastic and iron materials, decorative items, cameras, costumes, lighting systems, and other studio equipment.
The total area impacted was estimated to be around 5,000 square feet, mainly within the Anupamaa studio zone. Additional damage was also reported near Film City Road.The cause of the fire remains under investigation as safety officials examine the scene. Meanwhile, production on Anupamaa has been temporarily halted to allow for a comprehensive safety inspection, ensuring that all precautions are in place before filming resumes.
