The year 2026 is proving to be highly positive for the Marathi film industry. Earlier, actor Riteish Deshmukh’s film Raja Shivaji delivered a stellar performance at the box office. Following that momentum, Deool Band 2, directed by Pravin Tarde, is now receiving a tremendous response from the audience. This second installment of the Deool Band franchise has hit theaters after a long gap of 11 years.

In the last nine days, the film has amassed a whopping ₹39.15 crores. In its very first week of release, Deool Band 2 outpaced not just one or two, but five films. Devotees of Swami Samarth in cities like Mumbai and Pune are turning up in massive numbers to watch the movie in theaters. Notably, the film has overtaken a Riteish Deshmukh starrer in terms of lifetime collections.

Deool Band 2 collected ₹3.10 crores on its ninth day of release. According to box office tracker ‘Sacnilk’, Pravin Tarde’s directorial collected ₹30.20 crores in its opening week. With this run, the film has officially surpassed the lifetime collections of Riteish’s Lai Bhaari and has also broken the box office record of the historical drama Pawankhind. Currently, Deool Band 2 stands as the sixth highest-grossing Marathi film of all time, pushing past blockbusters like Timepass, Thackeray, Katyar Kaljat Ghusali, Lai Bhaari, and Pawankhind.
