Sonalee Kulkarni played the role of Riteish Deshmukh’s wife in the Hindi sex comedy Grand Masti. But that is not the kind of roles the actress is known for in the Marathi film industry. The actress has essayed roles of great potential in the past eight years in the industry. One character she can swear by is the one she played in the 2010 released Natarang . Though the film belonged to the actor Atul Kulkarni , she was praised no less for her role of the dancer Naina  who finally wins the heart of the protagonist in dramatic ending. The film was  a huge critical hit and the actress was showered with praise from all quarters.

Wiki : In the same year, Sonalee Kulkarni was at the peak of popularity when she won the Maharashtra state award for the most favorite heroine at Maharashtrachya Favourite Koun Awards. Prior to this, in her debut film Bakul Namdeo Ghotala , she bagged the best actress in debut award in the year 2007.

Currently the actress has her kitty full with enviable projects. She is working in Mrinali Kulkarni’s Rama Madhav. She plays the role of the controversial historical figure Anandibai. Mrianli is all praise for her work and says that Sonalee’s talent is done full justice to unlike in her past films. She is also a part of the Swapnil Joshi starrer film Mitwa which is slated to release this year.

 Sonalee is the brand ambassador for a leading jewelry brand and has a range of diamond rings named after her.
