Following nationwide protests led by student organizations and the youth wing of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) demanding accountability over the NEET paper leak, actor-director Hemant Dhome has drawn widespread attention for a powerful poem dedicated to non-violent resistance.
In a newly released video that has gone viral on social media, Dhome saluted the students who faced police lathicharges and persistent crackdowns before the eventual resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Dhome recited his poem against a backdrop of historic and peaceful struggle, referencing the power of truth over force:
“It will soon be 78 years since the bullets were fired in 1948, yet he still lives in their thoughts…
Even if one Gandhi is killed, thousands of Gandhis are born, because the breath of truth is more penetrating than any bullet.
Violence is defeated in the court of time. Names change, faces change—they try to shoot again, they wield sticks again—but Gandhi is born again to unite, fight, and win.
And even after 78 years, those who shoot still can’t sleep well…”
