Tragic Loss: Remembering Bakul Kavthekar, the Beloved ‘Vithoba’ of Pandharichi Wari

Pandharichi Wari (1988) remains one of the most iconic films dedicated to Lord Panduranga, often described by devotees as an onscreen experience so profound it rivals the actual pilgrimage itself. While the classic featured powerhouse performances by veteran actors like Jayshree Gadkar, Bal Dhuri, Ashok Saraf, and Raja Gosavi, it was young child artist Bakul Kavthekar as ‘Vithoba’ who stole the hearts of millions.

Tragically, the promising young actor passed away at a very young age in 2002 while pursuing his studies in Pune, leaving his family, colleagues, and fans in shock.
