After seeking praises from the B Town actors like Aamir Khan, Tusshar Kapoor and Ritiesh Deshmukh, the recently released Marathi movie – Sairat is back in news for creating history at the box office. The modest budget film after two weeks is able to collect 41.11 crores, which has made the film the top grocer of M Town this year emerging as the blockbuster at the box office. The big stars and the trade pundits from B Town are also applauding the movie for many reasons.
The film directed by Nagraj Manjule is a known filmmaker in M Town. Though this is his second movie in Marathi Cinema but the way he has directed the film keeping the script alive and bubbling makes the difference. The film has made in the most realistic fashion even while filming it most of the scenes are being actually shot at the real time locations in the rural areas of Maharashtra state rather than shooting the same in studios. The film showcases a love story of a young boy from lower caste with a girl from prestigious family of landlords, which makes the cause of honor killing.
