Now 38 years old, Lalit is unmarried and frequently faces questions from fans about his marital status and if there’s someone special in his life. In a recent interview, he openly addressed these queries with refreshing honesty.Speaking with Hotterfly, Lalit expressed, “I have some issues with the institution of marriage. I don’t like the idea of being told to stay with one person for life.

We follow traditions that have existed for years, but many societal practices are outdated and need to change. I don’t want anyone dictating what I should do. Should I marry just to impress others or for myself? If two people are at the same place in life and happy together, then marriage can be meaningful.”

When asked directly if he plans to get married, Lalit gave a firm “No.” He elaborated, “I’ve portrayed wedding rituals beautifully many times in my films and serials, so I don’t feel the need to experience it in real life. I was in a relationship during college, but now I prefer solitude. I enjoy my own company because I’ve lived alone for a long time.
