Star Pravah, one of Maharashtra’s most loved television channels, is ready to surprise its audience with a brand-new horror drama. Known for delivering strong stories, relatable characters, and family-centric shows for the past five years, the channel now brings a different and thrilling experience for viewers.
The upcoming supernatural series is titled “Kajalmaya.” The story revolves around a powerful and mysterious witch named Parnika, who belongs to an ancient witch clan. Parnika is breathtakingly beautiful, highly skilled in dark magic, and blessed with eternal youth. However, behind her beauty lies a selfish, cruel, and ambitious personality. She will go to any extent to fulfill her only goal — to expand her witch clan and rule everyone around her.
The story takes a dramatic turn when Aarush enters her life and challenges her dangerous ambitions. What follows is an intense, mysterious, and spine-chilling journey — and that journey is Kajalmaya.
Popular actor Akshay Kelkar will be seen in the lead role as Aarush Walawalkar. Talking about his character, Akshay shared:
“This is my first show as a lead actor on Star Pravah. Aarush is a very different character for me — simple, innocent, emotional, and deeply connected to his family. He is a college professor who teaches Marathi literature and has a deep passion for poetry. Even though he looks like an ordinary man, his knowledge and poetic expression make him special. Playing a character like this in a horror-mystery show is something new for me, and I’m very excited about it.”
