Ghabadkund: Good Days Return for Marathi Cinema After ‘Raja Shivaji’; ‘Ghabadkund’ Rakes in Huge Profits in 5 Days

Audiences had been eagerly waiting for the suspense-thriller Marathi film Ghabadkund ever since its trailer dropped. The film finally hit the big screen on June 19, and it began raking in massive profits right from its release. It has been receiving an excellent response from the audience. The film features popular actors such as Sandeep Pathak, Devdatta Nage, Shashank Shende, and Prajakta Hanamghar in key roles. Most notably, made on a modest budget of just ₹6 crore, Ghabadkund is putting up a blockbuster performance at the box office.

Here is how much the film has collected in its first five days: According to a report by Sacnilk, Ghabadkund earned ₹43 lakh on its fifth day. It kicked off its run with ₹42 lakh on the first day. On the second day, business saw a jump, collecting ₹76 lakh.

The film brought in ₹1.25 crore on the third day, followed by ₹49 lakh on the fourth day. While these daily figures bring the initial local total to ₹3.35 crore, reports indicate the film’s wider overall earnings have already soared to an impressive ₹55.83 crore. It remains to be seen how many more milestones the movie will hit in the coming days.

Ghabadkund is directed by Pritam SK Patil and produced by Rasik Kadam. The film also stars Ahmad Deshmukh, Kushal Badrike, Pravin Dalimbkar, Vaishnavi Kalyankar, Aarohi Bhoir, Sahil Annaldevar, and Smita Pegude in pivotal roles. Strong word-of-mouth promotion is further driving people to the theatres.

This ongoing dream run follows a spectacular streak for the industry. Actor Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial and starrer Raja Shivaji crossed ₹130 crore at the box office, making it the first Marathi film to breach the ₹100 crore club. Soon after, Deool Band 2 delivered a powerhouse performance, grossing ₹90 crore worldwide against a production budget of just ₹10 crore. Additionally, the movie Tumbadchi Manjula continues to maintain a strong, steady grip at the box office.
