Doctors Finally Issued a Strict Warning… ‘Aamne Saamne’ Fame Leena Bhagwat Takes a Break from Work, Fans Express Concern

Popular Marathi theatre actress Leena Bhagwat has left her fans concerned after sharing a post on social media. Sharing a photo from the hospital, Leena disclosed important details regarding her voice. Currently, she will be staying away from theatre for a few days, particularly from the performances of her hit play Aamne Saamne. Due to strain on her vocal cords, she underwent a minor procedure on the advice of her doctors.
In her emotional post, Leena referred to the iconic song ‘Meri Aawaz Hi Pehchan Hai’, emphasizing how crucial a voice is for a performing artist. She mentioned that performances of Aamne Saamne have consistently been housefull since last year, noting that actors enjoy performing the play just as much as the audience enjoys watching it.
Leena wrote in her post: “Meri Aawaz Hi Pehchan Hai… For the next few days, I won’t be able to ask ‘How was the play?’ In fact, I won’t be able to speak at all. Over the last few days, only one song kept coming to mind: Meri Aawaz Hi Pehchan Hai. For an artist, their voice is their true strength. Aamne Saamne has been running housefull back-to-back since last year. I can never forget the love given to my character. However, over the past few months, my voice started taking a lot of strain.”
She further shared: “I continued performing under the guidance of my doctors, but finally, the doctors issued a strict warning. They said if I wanted to preserve my ‘identity’ (voice), a minor procedure was essential. Yesterday, that procedure was successfully completed. The doctor, his entire team, Mangesh, and the theatre crew stood firmly by my side throughout. Now, I am giving my voice a few days of rest. In a short while, I will stand strong again and ask once more, ‘How was the play?’ Until then, a short intermission… See you soon in Aamne Saamne.”
Following her post, both fans and members of the entertainment industry expressed their support and wished her a speedy recovery. Actress Mukta Barve commented, “Take care and get well soon. All your fans are eager to hear your voice again. Lots of love.” Actress Amruta Deshmukh wrote, “Get well soon, Tai. I want to send my parents to watch the play.” Actor Subodh Bhave also encouraged her, saying, “Leena, you will stand strong again with renewed energy, Morya!”
