TV Actor Ashish Meshram Arrested for Murdering Mother of Four After Sexual Advances Were Rejected

In a shocking incident on Wednesday night, a 37-year-old married woman was stabbed to death in a building at Silver Park, Mira Road. The victim was murdered inside the third-floor flat where she worked as a domestic helper. TV actor Ashish Meshram has been accused of the crime. After fleeing the scene, Meshram was arrested by the Mira Road police on Friday in Visakhapatnam. Preliminary investigations suggest he took her life because she repeatedly rejected his demands for sexual favors.

What Exactly Happened?

Suman Kamble, a resident of Kashimira, had been working as a domestic helper at the ‘Chandresh Arcade’ building in Silver Park for several months. On Wednesday evening, she went to work as usual. A neighbor later discovered her critically injured near the doorway of the flat. Although she was rushed to a nearby private hospital, she was declared dead on arrival.

Suman was alone in the house at the time of the attack. She sustained multiple stab wounds to her neck, chest, and stomach. According to Mira Road police, CCTV footage shows the accused entering and exiting the society at high speed, suggesting the crime was a “pre-planned conspiracy.” Currently under transit remand, the accused will be brought back to the city by the end of the week to reconstruct the exact sequence of events.

Rejection of Sexual Demands

Police have confirmed reports that the accused had previously made sexual demands to the deceased, which she consistently rejected. While only Ashish’s elder brother originally lived in the flat where the murder occurred, Ashish moved in about a year and a half ago.

Suman Kamble is survived by her husband and four children. Her husband works as a cobbler, and her eldest son is employed at a private company. Suman supported her family by working in 8 to 9 households. She had been working at Ashish Meshram’s home for the past three years.

According to the FIR, Ashish called Suman’s second son in January. He allegedly threatened to kill Suman if she stopped working for him or continued to reject his sexual advances. When the son confronted his mother, Suman opened up about the harassment, explaining that she had stopped working at Ashish’s house specifically because of his inappropriate demands.

Infuriated, her son went to Ashish’s flat to find him, but he wasn’t there. A few days later, upon spotting Ashish in the Mira Road area, the son reportedly thrashed him and warned him to stay away from his mother.
