Soham Bandekar: “If You’re a Man, Then Win Her Over…” What Did Adesh Bandekar Say to His Son Before the Wedding?
As the wedding bells ring in the glamorous world, actor Adesh Bandekar’s son, Soham Bandekar, has also tied the knot. Photos and videos from Soham’s wedding with Pooja Barari have gone viral on social media, with many prominent personalities attending the ceremony. However, not much was known about how Soham and Pooja’s love story began until recently, when Soham opened up in an interview about his private life and the start of their romance.Interestingly, their relationship didn’t begin with a fancy dinner date but over a plate of pani puri.
Most importantly, it was Adesh Bandekar himself who was adamant that Pooja should become their daughter-in-law.In the interview, Soham shared, “I liked Pooja. My grandmother and aunt kept suggesting her to me… they said she’s a really nice girl… that’s when I received a message from my dad which said, ‘If you’re a man, you’ll win her over.’ After reading that message, I thought, ‘What is this? What is dad saying?’ Dad also told me, ‘She’s a good girl, don’t lose her because of your tantrums.’
At first, I thought they were joking, but my grandmother and aunt also kept saying after watching the show that she’s really great.”Soham went on to describe their dating story. “To show which areas have good food, I had started a series. I shared a photo of a ramen bowl, and that’s when Pooja messaged me. She sent another message after one of my posts, and slowly our conversations started. Then I realized she really loves pani puri. So, I told her,
‘Will you meet me once? I’ll take you to the best pani puri you’ve ever had.’”“She agreed to meet, and we went to Thane for pani puri. I realized our temperaments are similar. Then I arranged a meeting with our families. I gifted Pooja earrings and sent photos to my dad. That’s when they knew our daughter-in-law was ready to come home. Later, Pooja met my family wearing those same earrings. We all went out for a meal together, and that’s when the wedding date was finalized,” Soham revealed.
