Popular Marathi actress, dancer, and entrepreneur Prajakta Mali has announced a significant update regarding her traditional jewelry business. In a recent social media live session, she revealed that starting this new financial year, her brand—formerly known as ‘Prajaktaraj’—has been officially renamed to ‘Prajaktsaz – Reviving Maharashtra’s Legacy.’
Prajakta shared that the decision came as the brand expanded beyond Maharashtra to a global audience. While the brand has seen immense success over the last three and a half years, the team faced several logistical and shipping hurdles under the previous name. To resolve these issues and better reflect the brand’s mission, she chose the new title. While the name has changed, the logo remains the same, featuring Prajakta’s own handwriting to maintain a personal connection with her customers.
The inspiration for the brand originally struck Prajakta during her brother’s wedding, when she struggled to find authentic, traditional Marathi jewelry. This led her to travel across the state to study ancestral designs and bring them back into the limelight. Today, the brand is known for its uniqueness and dedication to Maharashtra’s cultural heritage.
Prajakta expressed her gratitude to her fans and customers, noting that the name change is already reflected on Google and other platforms. She encouraged her followers to continue their support as the brand enters this new chapter.
