Marathi Film Earns Four Times Its Budget in Four Weeks; Initiative Launched for Discounted Tickets

The Marathi film Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Madhyam has emerged as a massive box-office success, raking in ₹24.03 crore within just four weeks of its release. This impressive total represents a return of four times its original budget, fueled by a strong emotional connection with audiences of all ages. From its opening day, the movie has seen consistent houseful screenings as viewers resonate with its heartfelt exploration of the significance of Marathi-medium education in a changing world.
To celebrate this milestone and further its social mission, the filmmaking team has launched a dedicated initiative titled the ‘Marathi Shala Yojana.’ This program offers special shows at discounted ticket rates specifically for students, teachers, and staff of Marathi schools. The goal is to strengthen the cultural and emotional bond between the community and its educational roots, turning the film into a collective social experience. Director Hemant Dhome noted that while the financial success is an honor, the greatest satisfaction comes from seeing educators and students see their own struggles and triumphs reflected on the big screen.
The film features a powerful ensemble cast led by veteran actor Sachin Khedekar in the role of a headmaster, alongside Amey Wagh, Siddharth Chandekar, and Kshiti Jog. Notably, the movie also marks the Marathi cinema debut of popular creator Prajakta Koli. Produced by Chitramandali and written by Hemant Dhome, the project is a collaborative effort supported by producers Kshiti Jog, Viraj Gavas, Urfi Kazmi, and Ajinkya Dhamal.
By making the film more accessible through this discount scheme, the creators hope to ensure that its message regarding the Marathi language and culture reaches every corner of the state. Would you like me to help you draft a social media post to spread the word about this new discount initiative? So, stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
