Marathi Films Box Office Clash in September 2025: Three Releases on September 12 and Another Coming Next Week
September 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Marathi cinema, with a fierce competition brewing at the box office. On September 12, not one, but three Marathi films—Dashavatar, Aarpaar, and Bin Lagnachi Goshti—are set to hit the screens, promising a cinematic treat for audiences with their star-studded casts.The Marathi film industry has been experimenting with diverse themes in recent years, and these upcoming releases reflect that spirit. The simultaneous release of these three films means a thrilling showdown for film lovers eager to experience fresh storytelling and performances.
Adding to the excitement, another Marathi film titled Antari Khabar Futtli is scheduled for release on September 19. The trailer, which dropped on September 8, has already piqued interest. Starring Siddharth Jadhav, Mohan Agashe, and Rohini Hattangadi, this family drama blends comedy, suspense, and emotional depth. The plot revolves around a unique and quirky story of a grandfather who contracts to kill his own wife, only for the wife to become part of the plan herself. Directed by Vishal Gandhi and Jainesh Izardar, and produced by Vishal Gandhi and Summer Advani, the film promises an intriguing cinematic experience.Meanwhile, the three films releasing on September 12 each bring their own flavor:
- Aarpaar stars Rita Durgule and Lalit Prabhakar, with Gaurav Patki handling story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction.
- Dashavatar features a stellar ensemble including Dilip Prabhavalkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Bharat Jadhav, and more, directed and written by Subodh Khanolkar.
- Bin Lagnachi Goshti reunites Priya Bapat and Umesh Kamat after several years, supported by Nivedita Saraf and Girish Oak, under the direction of Aditya Ingle.
