Mangesh Desai’s hard work pays off

There are some actors who strive to get their portrayals perfect and in the process, they go to great extents. Now, if the portrayal in question is that of a dignified or recognised person in a biopic, the efforts are doubled because there is a difference in enacting a normal role and portraying someone who was or is admired by generations; someone whose style is famous even today. This challenge was accepted by actor Mangesh Desai when he was presented with the idea of portraying Bhagwan Dada in the biopic Ekk Albela.

In the process of knowing about Bhagwan Dada, Mangesh went to great lengths to be convincing as the yesteryear star. Speaking about the same, Mangesh said, “I kept all other work aside when I was offered Ekk Albela.” The actor is said to have watched Bhagwan Dada’s hit Albela 22-25 times to get the role right. “The research that started before shooting, went on till it ended,” added Mangesh who had made it a habit to ask the director what scenes were to be enacted the next day and rehearse for the same after the day’s work.

Mangesh’s hard work paid off and ever since the teaser of the film released, he has been getting congratulatory messages from everyone. Even director Shekhar Sartandel was showered with praise and now, everyone is eagerly awaiting June 24, the day when this Manglmurti Films and Kimaya Motion Pictures produced film releases.
