The Unique Love Story of ‘Shala’ Fame Anshuman; Apurva’s Condition Was ‘No Husband from the Industry’

Anshuman Joshi and Apurva Gore recently shared details about their love story and how they first met in a recent interview. The couple tied the knot in Pune, and their wedding photos have since gone viral on social media.

Anshuman Joshi, who played the iconic role of Mukund in the film Shala, recently married actress Apurva Gore. The wedding ceremony took place at the Zapurza Museum of Art and Culture in Pune. Fans have been eager to know how they met and how their romance blossomed. In a recent interview, the couple revealed the story of their first meeting. Interestingly, Apurva originally did not want a husband from the acting field, but her thoughts changed after meeting Anshuman.

Speaking to Rajshri Marathi, Apurva said, “I didn’t want to marry someone from my own professional field, so I was looking for a guy outside the industry. Anshuman and I got introduced online. When he asked to meet up, I agreed simply because we were in the same industry and I figured we’d run into each other eventually anyway—I didn’t want to say no just for the sake of it. At that time, marriage wasn’t even on my mind; I just went for a casual meeting. To my surprise, we ended up talking for six straight hours during our very first meeting.”

“Anshuman asked me about my thoughts on marriage, and afterward, he came to drop me home. Just as we reached my place, it suddenly started to rain. I wondered to myself if this was some kind of sign. Truthfully, both of us prefer talking on the phone over texting, but after that meeting, we stayed up all night chatting. We talked constantly for the next week. I told him about my hesitation regarding marrying someone from the same industry. He told me that we would either end up getting married or become very good friends. Following that, we became close friends first, and then decided to get married,” Apurva shared.

Anshuman and Apurva first met in 2025. Within a year of that first meeting, they decided to marry with their families’ blessings. Anshuman expressed that he felt a deep conviction that no matter what difficulties arose, he wanted to stay by Apurva’s side.
