‘School Marathi’ Becomes a Trending Topic; Little Kirtankar from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Sings Heartfelt Song

The teaser of Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium had already sparked curiosity among audiences, and now its newly released song School Marathi is receiving an overwhelming response. Evoking the spirit of Marathi medium schools, the song beautifully captures their values, the generations they shaped, and the priceless legacy passed down by dedicated teachers.
The song School Marathi offers a nostalgic journey through the identity, warmth, and affection embedded in Marathi schools. Every line reflects the love of teachers and the lessons learned within those school walls. Sung by 12-year-old Rohit Jadhav, a talented young kirtankar from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the track features powerful vocals by Rohit, complemented by Harsh-Vijay’s music and Ishwar Andhare’s evocative lyrics.
Director Hemant Dhome, who recently announced a collection of five soulful songs composed by Harsh-Vijay with lyrics by Ishwar Andhare for the film, shared his thoughts on School Marathi: “In Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Medium, we aimed to portray the passion, reality, and spirit of Marathi medium schools on screen.
School Marathi touches the very soul of the film. Marathi schools have nurtured countless generations, and their values and warmth come alive through this song.”Dhome added, “Rohit Jadhav, who has been studying kirtan for six years at the Guruvarya Orphan Mauli Rameshwarji Maharaj Pawar Kirtan Sanstha, brings vibrant life to this song. I’m proud that this young kirtankar from a small village is sharing his art with audiences. This song is my humble tribute to Maharashtra’s Warkari tradition.”
