Marathi Actress Prajakta Mali Expresses Anger Over AI-Generated Photo on Her Fan Page, Makes Urgent Request
Marathi actress Prajakta Mali recently voiced her displeasure after spotting an AI-generated photo of herself shared on one of her fan pages. Despite her large and enthusiastic social media following, Prajakta made it clear that she strongly objects to such digitally altered images. “I can never support such photos or videos,” she stated emphatically in a post on her Instagram Story.Prajakta is very active on Instagram, often sharing genuine photos and videos with her fans, and many fan pages regularly post updates about her work and personal moments.
However, the recent appearance of an AI-generated image of her on a fan club page sparked her frustration. Prajakta took to social media to urge her fans and fan clubs to stop creating and circulating AI-manipulated photos of her.The use of artificial intelligence to edit or morph celebrity photos has become increasingly common, offering stunning visuals but also raising concerns about misuse.
Many celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, and others, have publicly opposed AI-generated content that misrepresents them. Some have even taken legal action to protect their personality rights against deepfakes and voice cloning.In her message, Prajakta said, “No matter how beautiful this photo looks, I will never appreciate AI-generated photos and videos. I request my fan club and everyone else to stop making AI photos.”
Her stand highlights growing awareness among celebrities about the ethical and personal implications of AI manipulation.Beyond her acting career, Prajakta is also known for her entrepreneurship. She runs ‘Prajaktraj,’ her own jewellery brand, and manages a farmhouse in Karjat that she rents out to tourists, contributing to her diverse income streams.
