The makers of the upcoming Marathi film Maharashtra Epstein Files have unveiled its first official song, titled ‘Captain Tumhi Mi Nauka’, on the Panorama Music Marathi YouTube channel. Singer Mugdha Karhade has lent her voice to the track, which features music composed by Rohit Nagbhide and lyrics written by Sanjay Navgiri. The song release has generated considerable online traction following the recent launch of the film’s official trailer.
The investigative drama is inspired by the widely publicized real-life case involving self-proclaimed spiritual figure Ashok Kharat. Prominent actor Manoj Joshi leads the cast in the role of the central antagonist, sharing the screen alongside Deepali Sayyed, Subodh Bhave, and Madhuri Pawar. The narrative purports to explore alleged connections and operational networks involving high-profile political and social figures across Maharashtra.
Prior to receiving regulatory approval for its theatrical release, the production encountered multiple administrative and legal challenges following its initial title and concept announcement. However, with clearing hurdles finalized, the promotional campaign has proceeded with key character reveals and musical releases.
Directed to highlight controversial social and criminal investigations within the state, Maharashtra Epstein Files is scheduled to open in theatres across Maharashtra on November 20. With the release of its lead track and official trailer assets, the project continues to draw substantial public and trade interest ahead of its mid-November premiere.
