Neha Mahajan is a popular name in Marathi cinema apart from working in a couple of B Town movies as well. She was born and brought up in Talegaon Dabhade close to Pune. She has done her schooling and college from Pune and even completed her Masters in Philosophy from the University of Pune. During her college days, she was active in cultural activities and got associated with the theaters very soon. Before going to Trimble Tech High School, Texas in the US, she got her formal training as classical sitar player during her early days of her life.

She got her first break with a Bollywood movie called Midnight’s Children, which was based on the controversial book of Salman Rushdee, which was directed by Deepa Mehta. In the year 2013, she played the character of Ophelia in the stage production of Hamlet by Madhav Vaze in Marathi. Also, she also got one key role in another Marathi play called Ajoba by Sujay Dahake. She then got another English film called Feast of Varanasi by Rajan Patel. She also played the role of a lead actress in the film called Ishq-e-Hyderabadi by Tarun Dhanrajgir, which is a movie based on the city of Hyderabad of 2014.

After doing a couple of off-beat movies, she got the chance to enter the Marathi Cinema. Her first Marathi movie was Nilkanth Master, which released in 2015, while two of her Marathi movies including Youth and One Way Ticket will be releasing in 2016. As far as her rewards and recognition is concerned she is still to make any opening in it though was nominated for the best debut face this year at Zee Talkies Award, however, she failed to win the title for the same.
